update time. I am not working until sept 10. lots of time on my hands. Going to Get Things Done. Like paint and .. clean! ... er .. or just play a shitload of Guildwars and sleep until 3pm everyday. Anyways, going to this Friday night movie at Cinimeteque for around 11pm tonight. I think its going to be aweful. hopefully awfully funny atleast. Any movie with "scatological" in the description is just... not good in my books. We'll see though. (See Benson's LJ.)

One thing that bugs me is I can't shake this fear of parking the Mustang downtown around this time unattended. I hate going out without it.. so lame to do this but I think I'm going to trade the mustang for moms little tracker tonight. blech.

The walls came down today. Who know sif it will last though. So ... um.. news. right.

Got me some new things. New fridge i may have mentioned. New washer and dryer. New Airconditioner with a remote control. i love remote controls. And now.. by popular demand.. new couch and loveseat with proper ass support. Now nobody can grumble about my old crappy couches. :D

Besides that, not much to report. Aikon is coming. volunteer madness once again. I wonder who besides me has been working as or with volunteers as long as me. Sarah's been doing it for maybe a year less than me. But as familiar as some of those faces are at the meetings.. i wonder if any of them have been around every year. shrug. This will be my 5th Aikon.. I wonder if it will be my last.

in TV news.. John from Cincinnati is holding my interest.. its just unpredicatable which i need in my tv viewing. I have to watch each episode a few times to catch everything.

Doctor Who wrapped up lastnight.. The season started weak with the new companion but picked up in the second half.. The 3 part finale was also prety damn good. Not much else I'm watching these days.. guess I'll need a new show or two soon.

The car is running a bit odd but one thing that i hate is taking a car to a garage. I just know i'll get ripped off. I mean who can I trust to fix a 40 year old car correctly?

No, nothing importanmt or even entertaining. Just my musings on this new show i watched called John From Cincinnati.

What's it about? Not much. A bunch of good quality actors on a new HBO show (where an hour is really an hour!) about a 3 generation family of surfers in a beach town working their way through life when a strange little guy wanders into town and strange magical things start happening.

Reviews weren't great which may be why i like it. And it wasn't until i wrote that that iw as certian i did like it. Its a weird show. There is no predicting it at all and i think that is my #1 requirement when i watch something now. I don't want to watch predictable crap thats written for the lowest common denominator. Clearly theres no predicting this and coming in with no expectation I like what i see. Where a tv reviewer sees characters he doesnt understand or character about, i see characters i do understand. i liek the acting. I like the dialogue, It just feels natural. It feels liek a normal day uin the life of this disfunctional family which is why when this tiny weird shit happens to one of them.. it just seems that much more cool.

This show isnt for everyone and mr tv review twat can just go back and watch more Sapranoes for all i care. i want to see how this plays out.

It's 2007 and we don't know how to operate cars without killing people. It's not a fucking accident if it was caused by someone getting into a one-ton metal bullet that cannot be operated with complete control at all times.

Is it time for me to tell you all about Warren Ellis' new summer projects? Yes I think it is. I am excited for 3 things. Good things come in threes, including women.

#1 is Black Summer. A 7 or 8 issues self contained serialised comic about a team of super heroes.. and what happens when one of these superpowered vigilantes decides to execute the president of the united states for his illegal war. THe art looks amazing, the story sounds extremely good.
